Reuters News Story on PCCC

Reuters News has released an article and video all about what we do at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery  The article titled Ashes-to-Ashes-Dust-to-Dust was written and produced and edited by Steve Johnson (UF photojournalist) Adjunct Lecturer and Visual Coordinator
College of Journalism & Communications University of Florida.

The link above will show the video.

The links below are the result of Yahoo News using part of the information that Steve Johnson released through Reuters  "Eco-friendly green burials"

The covering of Joseph Fitzgerald's burial by family members at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery earlier this year.
The next link is the article only that was carried on Reuters US web site.  It is titled "Eco-friendly green burials catching on in the U.S."

The next article showed up on the Huffington Post Green Section title "Green Burials Catch On in U.S."  It is using some lame picture from their stock shots, not sure why when Steve provided a wealth of great pictures.

Steve Johnson accepted this assignment and three months later, hundreds of photographs, hours of video, and dozens of pages of notes later, he has this story.
Quoting Johnson "I teach visual journalism at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications in Gainesville, Fla. – just 20 or so miles away from this cemetery. So it was pure luck that I happened to live near one of four conservation cemeteries in the country.
What wasn’t luck was the teaching value of this story."
